Consumer Technology Association organises CES(customer electronics show) every year January at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, United States, and every tech lover waits for it. this year it was 5-8 of January, and we picked some cool technologies which were unveiled at CES in between.
Kuri the robot
KURI is a home robot by Mayfield Robotics, specially designed to look over kids and pets when you are not home. Kuri is a 50 cm robot having a speaker, a camera, a microphone and a host of sensors which help it moving all across the home, finding its route, recognising faces. So now you can have a cool moving robot, which keeps track of your home, notifies you when your kids are home and even record videos for you when you are not home. And for the cool part, ITS A ROBOT, so it’s cool, obviously.
Honda self-balancing motorcycle concept
Honda unveiled its riding assist technology at CES. Basically what this does is it keeps your bike upright straight on low speed or when stops. It’s not the first bike to have this concept of self-balancing, but the other ones did use gyroscopes which adds a lot of weight, which could limit a motorcycle’s ability to manoeuvre. Instead of that Honda used a simple logic, when needed, the system increases the fork angle, lengthening the bike’s wheelbase and, apparently, disconnecting the front forks from the handlebars. The system then uses minute steering inputs to keep the bike perfectly balanced.
Polaroid Pop instaprint camera
Polaroid is back with its iconic instant digital camera Polaroid pop at CES 2017, celebrating Polaroid’s 80th anniversary . CES 2017 was mostly about evolution , and evolution of Alexa is remarkable. originally came with amazon echo in 2014, alexa has plans to be integrated in everything possible, short time and alexa will be inside your phone, cars, fridge, tv and the list goes on . Ford has plans to alexa integrated cars by the end of the year 2017. And about what alexa can do, It is capable of voice interaction, controlling other smart devices, music playback, making to-do lists, setting alarms, streaming podcasts, playing audiobooks, and providing weather, traffic and other real time information and always getting better. Alexa’s easy API integration, devloper tools are helping it give tough competition to its rivals, i.e, google home.
JBL pulse 3
Jbl pulse 3 was arguably the best Bluetooth speaker at CES this year . It has a 360 degree lighting panel , which does sync with the music being played in the speaker which is located below and also has a 360 degree sound emanation. one of the best things about pulse 3 is its built-in battery which offers up to 12 hours of playback with the lights system on. It supports calls on speaker with noise and echo cancellation. Pulse 3 comes up with JBL Connect+, and it can connect with 100 other speakers which support Connect+ so you can play music on an array of speakers. other features of Pulse 3 are two smartphones can be paired simultaneously to it, and it has IPX7 water resistance.
Asus ZenFone AR
One of the things we noticed at CES this time was that , CES is not much about phones anymore, but still ASUS filled the void with its first Augumented reality smartphone only second after Lenovo Phab2 Pro. And guess what makes zenfone even cooler, it comes with support for both Google TANGO (AR) and Daydream Virtual Reality , and its first smartphone to come up with 8GB ram. It has Android 7.0 Nougat OS, 23 MP / 8MP camera and built-in storage upto 256 GB. So with these specification AR, VR, RAM, Camera, Battery, Storage and OS, Zenfone AR has done everything right way and we hope it sets a Landmark in Smartphone world.
While CES had little to give in smartphone terms, the largest mobile phone show, MWC, is yet to come. There we will see some futuristic flagship phones such as Samsung Galaxy S8, Meizu Pro 7, and LG G6.
